A harmonious addition to the window
Georgian bars are decorative bars interlaced inside the insulated glass unit. The pattern and color of the interlacing are chosen according to the customer’s preference. It is through Georgian bars that one can emphasize the individuality of the house. Georgian bars look great and visually enhance the window, making it appear more substantial than it actually is.
- Classic Georgian bars for windows have widths of 75, 18, and 25 mm;
- They can have a paint coating or lamination, but contrasting decorative solutions are also possible;
- For windows, you can also use two-sided decoration: painting on one side and lamination on the other;
- They don't change color during use and don't interfere when cleaning windows since they are inside the insulated glass unit;
- The Georgian bars within the glass unit will last as long as the insulated glass unit itself;
- The variety of connection options allows for creating unique interlacing patterns, which can be narrow or wide, bend into a simple arch or circle;
- They are firmly fixed between the glass during the production of the insulated glass unit, so they cannot be installed on a finished product.
Georgian bars connection options
Intermediate glazing bars, also known as Georgian bars, are retaining strips made of aluminum or synthetic material, which are located inside the double glazing. Using connectors, they form a specific spatial figure, look perfect, and visually make the window appear significantly more substantial.
Georgian bars harmoniously complement the window without reducing the level of light entering from the outside.
However, it should be noted that Georgian bars degrade the thermal insulation properties of the window because they act as an additional conductor of cold. This is evidenced by the slight condensation that sometimes appears on the windows near the Georgian bars. On average, the thermal conductivity index increases by 10-15%.
Windows with Georgian bars are currently very popular because they add individuality to the window, emphasizing the interior and exterior features.
