According to statistics, 80% of people look down at the floor or ground when walking. The force of gravity prompts flooring manufacturers to offer a huge variety of options.
An important part of a door that requires special attention is the threshold. The need to protect the threshold is due to the heavy mechanical stress it undergoes.
People often stumble over thresholds, which can lead to scratches and deformations. The threshold should be designed so that you can step on it without worrying about the appearance of the profile itself.
We have developed an aluminum support for the threshold of a balcony door, which is fixed with glue or screws to the PVC profile. It can be installed on a new structure, as well as on a previously installed and functioning door.
- An angle covering the external part of the frame that is visible from the balcony side;
- A plate attached to the horizontal part of the frame that protects the threshold from damage;
- The material from which the overlays are made is aluminum.
Floor thresholds and their classification
Threshold overlays are attached to the frame using mechanical fastenings or adhesive. The material used to make the thresholds is aluminum. The threshold is painted in one of the standard RAL colors with paint that is resistant to abrasion and scratches. The threshold fits organically into modern architectural design, and its quality characteristics remain unchanged for decades.
Floor thresholds are classified by their purpose:
- Joint-covering profiles;
- Joint-covering profiles with a height difference;
- Corner profiles;
- Tread overlays.
