Warm installation
What is warm window installation?
Warm window installation is a method that ensures high hydro- and thermal insulation properties by providing additional protection of the installation joint from adverse effects.
During installation, the installer uses not only traditional foaming but also additional insulation materials. These protect the installation foam from temperature fluctuations, moisture, and ultraviolet light, enhancing the seam’s air-tightness.
The installation includes all traditional steps: positioning and aligning the window frame in the opening, securing it and foaming. After this, specialized work is carried out aimed at sealing the installation joint—that is, all surfaces at the junction of the window frame and the opening (walls).
The specifics of the method and its implementation
The warm installation of PVC windows involves special procedures during the sealing of the installation seam. In addition to traditional foam insulation, additional insulation materials are used. On one hand, they provide extra protection to the installation foam, which over time can degrade due to temperature fluctuations, moisture, and UV exposure. On the other hand, three layers of insulation enhance the overall airtightness of the seam.
Three insulation layers are used:
- Outer layer;
- Inner layer;
- Middle layer.
The outer layer is a vapor- and waterproof tape. It protects against precipitation and ultraviolet radiation, allowing internal vapor to escape. These tapes shield the installation foam, helping it retain its properties over an extended period.
The inner layer consists of silicone or insulation. It prevents vapor and moisture from contacting the foam. Silicone or insulation material is used for this purpose.
The middle layer is the installation foam. It fills all the voids between the frame and the opening.

- Reduced risk of condensation;
- Protection against wall freezing;
- Reduction of heating costs.

Heating expenses in the winter can be lower than in the previous season. The cost of electricity in the summer, when using air conditioners, is significantly reduced.
